ScribeFire. Blogging made easy with this FireFox Addon.

Today I tried scribeFire to write and promote this post. ScribeFire is a FireFox Addon designed to help bloggers blog without opening their blogging platform or social sites. The way to use it is just browse your interest sites, drag interesting parts into ScribeFire and then publish with one click to your selected blog.

The following text is a part of the Scribefire site I pulled into the post:

Post to your blog without ever leaving Firefox

ScribeFire is an extension for the Mozilla Firefox Web Browser that integrates with your browser to let you easily post to your blog: you can drag and drop formatted text from pages you are browsing, take notes, and post to your blog.

This is a video tutorial of ScribeFire (Much more educating than this post, I must confess) which I embedded without having to open YouTube.

Scribefire Tutorial: A great blogging tool for Wordpress

And this is the ScribeFire logo I embedded from Flickr, again without having to open the site.

I then published this post here on Blogger.com and into my Facebook account strait from scribeFire. That's right, no need to open Blogger or Facebook.

ScribeFire is a great tool but still not perfect. The concept is bloggers heaven and implementation is more than good. The editor itself has some limitations on editing text and the embedding features are not really saving the user from opening the destination sites.

ScribeFire supprts multiple blogs and multiple promotion sites and networks and can really save hours to heavy bloggers. You will find it most useful if you write more than several posts a day.

You can get it at mozilla and read more about it at the ScribeFire site.

Happy Blogging.
